ABOUT PU’ER

Pu’er (or Pu-erh) is a type of fermented dark tea produced in Yunnan province, famous worldwide for its taste complexity and potential health benefits.

This mature tea is even used as a medicine in some countries. But instead of mirroring the bitter taste of most medicines, the taste of Pu’er is better likened to a deep breath of fresh air in a springtime pine forest, after heavy rain.

This was my first taste of Vintage Pu'er and I used a ceramic mug with an infuser. I placed 2 full teaspoons of tea leaves in the infuser. The dark red brown tea tasted very smooth and as I drank, it left a pleasant aftertaste and this led me to making round 2, likely 3.
